London Road improvement works update – next phase of works due to commence
Monday, 6th February 2023 in News /by ClerkI am writing with an update on construction of the new 3.5m-wide shared use cycling and pedestrian path along the eastern side of London Road/Station Road. I can confirm that the current phase B of works, between Stearn Way and Windmill Hill, is on target to be completed on 31 January 2023.
The road closure will then relocate to the stretch of road between Windmill Hill and Owles Lane from 1 February 2023.

Wednesday, 11th January 2023 in News /by ClerkI am writing with an update on construction of the new 3.5m-wide shared use cycling and pedestrian path along the eastern side of London Road/Station Road and can confirm that phase A of works has now recommenced and the closure between A10 roundabout and Stearn Way is back in place. Through traffic will need to follow the signed diversion route attached.

A507 Weight Limit Experimental Traffic Regulation Order (ETRO) Consultation

Hertfordshire County Council (HCC) has been exploring options to reduce the impact of Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV) through traffic using the A507 in Cottered Village following representations to the Highways Cabinet Panel by local communities.
HCC is proposing to implement a weight limit ban affecting the A507 and part of the B1037 in Cottered as an experimental scheme under an Experimental Traffic Regulation Order (ETRO) for up to 18 months.
