St Mary’s Christmas Tree Festival

Book your Christmas Tree in St Mary’s Aspenden’s first Christmas Tree Festival.
Being held over the weekend of Saturday 14th December 2024 10am – 4pm & Sunday 15th December 2024 11am – 4pm.
It is hoped as many organisations, groups, societies, schools and individuals will accept our invitation to display a Christmas Tree in our beautiful church.

We want to improve parking to deliver fairer services and create a healthier, greener environment for our communities. Throughout September, East Herts District Council will conduct in-person and online engagement sessions to gauge public opinion on proposed parking initiatives in the district.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:

that length of 3U20 (unnamed road), Westmill from its junction with Aspenden Public Bridleway No.005 south eastwards to its junction with Cherry Green Lane,

Aspenden Village Green ‘The Big Strim’

Thanks go to Councillor Tom Poulton for organising a willing group of Aspenden residents to strim the perimeter of Aspenden Village Green and the Children’s Playground area and making the green look beautiful again … just in time for the sunshine!

Aspenden D-Day Certificate and Lamp Light of Peace Participants

Aspenden is proud to receive sincere thanks via a D-Day Certificate for their contribution to D-Day 80, the international commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings on the five beaches in Normandy, France, on 6th June 1944.
In addition Aspenden is recognised as one of the many participants of the lighting of a Lamp Light of Peace.

Aspenden Annual Parish Meeting

The Aspenden ANNUAL PARISH MEETING will be held on Tuesday 21st May 2024 at 7.00pm in The Fox.
Everyone is welcome to attend.

Flooding on Children’s Playground

Aspenden Parish Council is very aware of the ongoing flooding on and around the site of the Children’s Playground.
We are currently looking at drainage solutions and hope to be able to remedy the problem.
We apologise to disappointed users and hope they will be able to enjoy the playground again soon.
