Aspenden Village Sign
The 26 year old wooden carved Village Sign was showing signs of deterioration.
Work is now underway to restore the sign to its former state so it can once again sit proudly over Aspenden Village Green.
St Mary’s Aspenden Christmas Tree Festival 2026
The highly successful Christmas Tree Festival is once again being held in St Mary’s Church Aspenden on Saturday 12th December 10.00am to 4.00pm and Sunday 13th December 11.00am to 4.00pm.

Rural Economy Survey
Residents and Workers Encouraged to Help Shape new Local Plan by Taking Part in Rural Economy Survey
People who live and work in the rural parts of East Herts are being invited to complete East Herts Council’s Rural Economy Survey, which seeks to gather information about the issues and challenges facing rural communities as part of ongoing work to develop the new East Herts Local Plan.
Bees’ Nest on Street Farm
The Parish Council are aware of the bees’ nest on Street Farm.
Councillor Tom Poulton has arranged for it to be removed which will happen on Friday 4th September.
Aspenden Green Wildflower Patch
Councillor Stuart Chambers has been nurturing a wildflower patch on Aspenden Village Green.
A mixed seed containing Cornflower, Poppy , Yellow Rattle, Archangel, Birdsfoot Treefoil, Red & White Campion, Ox Eye Daisy and Heavens Gate Pansy was sown in March.
They have since flourished into a bright patch of colour that not only looks lovely but has attracted bees and wildlife.
