Sunday Act of Remembrance
“Live Stream” of Remembrance Service, 8th November 2020
Following the statement regarding the National Lockdown in England that comes into effect from midnight on Wednesday 4thNovember, Buntingford Town Council has received advice from Government that the Remembrance Service due to be held on Sunday 8th November 2020 can go ahead, albeit with restrictions.
A full risk assessment has been carried out of the service which will be led by the Reverend Ian Hill of St Peter’s Church.

Citizens Advice East Herts Scam Advice
Citizens Advice East Herts can help if you are worried about scams. Citizens Advice offers free, confidential, independent and impartial advice to anyone. We work in our local area and we are mainly staffed by volunteers.
We give information and advice to people to help solve their problems. We also work to make life better by campaigning locally and nationally on the issues that keep causing problems
Dandara Public Consultation Thursday 10th September 4pm – 7pm
Since the approval of Keepers Chase last year, Dandara are in a position to acquire a small parcel of land adjoining the north of Keepers Chase. Following pre-application advice from the Council, Dandara are currently preparing an application for 23 dwellings on the site which will be submitted to East Hertfordshire District Council in due course.
A10 Buntingford Roundabout Upgrade – Stakeholder Consultation
HCC is developing a scheme to upgrade the roundabout at the junction of the A10 and London Road to the south of Buntingford. This improvement is identified in the Council’s Local Transport Plan and East Herts District Council’s Local Plan. The Council is currently seeking funding to deliver the project so we are unable to commit to a delivery date,
Citizen’s Advice East Herts – Here to help
Since 23 March, we have helped 2,396 clients – 36% more than the same time period last year – with advice on a range of issues. Employment continues to be the top issue for clients, with advice needed on furlough and redundancy etc. We are also continuing to help with practical support such as Foodbank referrals and local community links and are working with East Herts Police and other local Citizens Advice to raise awareness of Covid-related scams.
Speed Management Strategy
The Local Transport Plan sets out how the County Council intends to provide for safe and efficient travel, catering for all forms of transport. The Speed Management Strategy is a supporting document to this and sets out a consistent approach to setting speed limits along with guidance for implementing traffic calming measures and speed cameras.
The strategy includes further guidance on the implementation of 20mph speed limits.
