Local Nature Recovery Scheme

The Local Nature Recovery Scheme ‘encourages each area of the country, shire, local council, to do what they can to encourage and promote nature and biodiversity in villages and gardens’.

To support this initiative Councillor Stuart Chambers has planted a wild flower area on Aspenden Village Green consisting of: Cornflower, Poppy, Yellow Rattle, Archangel, Birdsfoot Treefoil, Red & White Campion, Ox Eye Daisy and Heavens Gate Pansy.

We look forward to seeing both the flowers and wildlife they will attract over the summer period.
